Gary Gwilt, DMD, is the owner and dentist serving patients at Tooth Corps in Peoria, Arizona. Dr. Gwilt has extensive experience in dental implant and surgical dentistry, including IV sedation and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) techniques to promote bone and soft tissue healing and regeneration.
Dr. Gwilt earned his bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona, before making his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
He advanced his training in dental surgery, implant dentistry, and IV sedation during his general practice residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.
He also served as a clinical instructor for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. These many levels of expertise allow him to provide comprehensive services in his private practice and eliminate the need to refer patients to specialists.
He and the team at Tooth Corps are Veterans Affairs community care providers serving VA patients in the practice’s Peoria office.
Tooth Corps is a full-service practice offering affordable dental services for individuals with limited funds and complete, high-end dental solutions, including All-on-4® implants, single tooth implants, emergency dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Gwilt served his country in the United States Marines for four years, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. A tank operator then earned three Combat Action awards, two Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medals, the Presidential Unit Citation, and a Certificate of Commendation.
He is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Gary M. Gwilt is a native of Phoenix, Arizona. In 2000, Dr. Gwilt joined the United States Marine Corps as an M1 A1 Tank Operator. During his four years of service, he was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom. His actions earned him three Combat Action awards and a Presidential Unit Commendation award.
Aspirations to continue his service to his country, DR. Gwilt decided to pursue a profession in the medical industry. In 2009, Dr. Gwilt completed his Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University, and in 2013 earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University.
After graduation, Dr. Gwilt furthered his training by completing a General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Gwilt advanced his knowledge and skillset for oral surgery, implants, and IV sedation there. Other experience included performing dentistry in the hospital emergency room and operating room and serving as a clinical instructor for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Gwilt is driven to continue advancing his knowledge in dentistry to provide the highest quality of care to his patients.
